Injecting Influence: How to Position Clients in the News Cycle

Finding ways to inject my client into the news cycle is a strategy I employ for my clients. Here is an example of how I was able to leverage my relationships with the mainstream media to make this happen for my client. News: China’s latest export controls are a reminder of just how vulnerable the U.S. remains when it comes to critical minerals.

I introduced American Rare Earths Limited Rare Earths to Reuters Ernest Scheyder several years ago and have continued to build that momentum for the development of that relationship. So when Scheyder, one of the most highly respected journalists in the global energy transition, reported on the China restrictions on critical minerals, he cited Melissa Sanderson, board director for the client, as the lede quote in his story, “China hits back at US tariffs with export controls on key rare earths.”
